Description
Waterschap Limburg is voornemens de waterveiligheidsopgave Venlo ’t Bat te realiseren. Het project maakt onderdeel uit van de versterking van dijktraject 68-1 en bevindt zich op een bijzondere locatie waar de Maas direct grenst aan de historische binnenstad van Venlo. Venlo ’t Bat is daarmee meer dan een technische waterveiligheidsopgave. De versterking van de waterkering vindt plaats binnen een gebied waarin waterveiligheid, stedelijke ontwikkeling, cultuurhistorie, ruimtelijke kwaliteit, infrastructuur, waterhuishouding en belangen van bewoners, ondernemers en gebruikers van de omgeving nauw met elkaar samenhangen. De scope, raakvlakken en randvoorwaarden van het project zijn uitgebreid beschreven in de aanbestedingsstukken.
