MDC GUA - Liquid Propane Gas - FY-2027 - Award Cancellation

October 23, 2026 Notice of Cancellation of Award The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, announces that Purchase Order 15B30627P00000001, originally awarded under Solicitation 15B30626Q0000022 for Liquid Propane Gas Services, has been cancelled due to the contractor’s failure to provide the required services in accordance with the terms and conditions of the award. The contract was previously awarded to RGP, LLC for a total amount of $85,286.25, under a Firm Fixed Price contract structure. Following award, the contractor did not demonstrate the responsiveness necessary for successful performance. As a result, the Government has determined that continuation of this award is not in the best interest of the agency. This acquisition was originally solicited on a 100% small?business set?aside basis, and all responsible sources were permitted to submit a quote. In accordance with FAR 4.1102, all offerors were required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award. The Government intends to take appropriate procurement action to ensure continued mission support for Liquid Propane Gas Services at MDC Guaynabo, Highway 28, Intersection of Road 165, Guaynabo, PR 00965?5700.
