Finland – Tanks, reservoirs, containers and pressure vessels – 50 MW Electrode boiler 20 kV with main components

1.1 Inroduction: With this request, Turku Energia Oy wishes to obtain a delivery of a new electrode boiler (50 MW, output power will be locked in Invitation to Tender (ITT)) with an associated expansion system, boiler circuit pump, control valves and heat exchanger for Pääskyvuori power station (address: Jaanintie, TURKU, FINLAND). The aim is to have the boiler in operation by 2026. 1.2 Scope of delivery: The preliminary purchasing package will include: • Delivery and installation of a fully automated electrode boiler in a designated location/foundation • Delivery of a heat exchanger between a boiler circuit and a district heating system • Delivery of an expansion system for a boiler and a boiler circuit • Delivery of a primary boiler circuit • Delivery of a boiler pump • Delivery of safety valves on a boiler or in a boiler circuit • Delivery of control valves in a boiler circuit • Delivery of complete electrification, automation and instrumentation • Process responsibility for boiler and boiler circuit • Sufficient supervision of boiler installation and erection • Commissioning of boiler and boiler circuit 1.3 Excluded from scope of delivery: • Construction and foundation works • 20 kV power supply from transformer • District heating piping to the main pipes from the heat exchanger • Connection between local boiler automation system and Turku Energia’s top level automations system • Local electric system (lights, HVAC) 1.4 Electrode boiler with equipment on boiler circuit: An electrode boiler with the following preliminary specifications must be met: • Type: Hot water • Output: 50 MW • Temperature at heat exchanger output: 68-120°C • Voltage: 20 kV • Control current: 230/400V 1.5 Power supply and delivery limits: Turku Energia will provide 20 kV of power. Delivery limits are specified in the Invitation to Tender (ITT). 1.6 Automation: Electrode boiler must be able to operate as independent unit utilizing it own safety and control devices. The boiler automation is connected to the power plant's main automation system and boiler is operated from power plant main control room. It must be possible to read measurements, alarms, status information from the power plant's main automation system, and it must be possible to control the functions of the electric boilers and change the setpoints from the power plant's main automation system. This document and its appendixes are Invitation To Participate. Preliminary Invitation to Tender and Final Invitation to Tender will be prepared and issued later on during the procurement phase.
