Description

Background Tynset municipality needs to establish a new contract for audit services to ensure access to necessary auditing expertise within the entire audit area. The procurement shall cover the municipality ́s ongoing need for audits, management audits, ownership control and accompanying consultancy services. The objective of the procurement is to ensure that the audit work is carried out in accordance with applicable law and regulations, good municipal audit practice and relevant professional standards. The municipality needs a tenderer who can contribute with high professional quality, good understanding of the municipal sector and the capacity to cover the need in a uniform and predictable way throughout the contract period. The framework agreement shall facilitate an efficient and robust organisation of the audit services, and contribute to the municipality getting the necessary support in the implementation of statutory and prioritised audit assignments. This notice is based on the current supplier having notified the contracting authority from the contract. Tynset municipality is investigating the possibility of entering an intermunicipal audit company. This case shall be assessed in the municipal council 27.10.2026. The competition is therefore subject to cancellation due to the municipal council ́s decision. Tynset municipality is still choosing to announce the competition now to avoid delays in the process. Description of the assignment The objective of the procurement is to enter into a framework agreement for auditor services for the municipality. The delivery includes accounting audits with accompanying consultancy, management audits and ownership control. The assignment includes assistance within the entire audit area, including planning, implementation, reporting and professional advice for the relevant audit services. Tenderers shall be able to provide services that support the municipality ́s need for control, quality assurance and management information. A tenderer with relevant competence and experience from the municipal sector is requested, who can provide audit services of good quality, necessary capacity and a high degree of professional integrity. Further requirements for the delivery and execution are in the tender documents in general.
