Description

The RFT is seeking suitably qualified contractors to deliver roads, drainage, electrical infrastructure, parks and reserves to support future residential development on the eastern side of Lee Point Road. The evaluation criteria include weighted consideration of local businesses and majority Indigenous-owned businesses. As part of DHA's commitment to meaningful Indigenous participation and culturally appropriate project delivery, respondents are encouraged to demonstrate how they will contribute to Indigenous economic participation and engagement with the local Aboriginal community throughout the project lifecycle. DHA is committed to embedding environmental sustainability considerations into its procurement and contract management activities to achieve long-term environmental, social and economic value. Consistent with DHA's sustainability and ESG objectives, tenderers should demonstrate how sustainability principles will be incorporated into the planning, delivery and management of the proposed goods or services. Tenderers should note that it is a requirement of this project that the Builder/s contracted to undertake the Building Work be accredited under the WHS Accreditation Scheme (outlined in Schedule 4.16) established under the Federal Safety Commissioner Act 2022, at the time of entering into the contract for the Building Work and while the Building Work is being carried out. Please Note: Defence Housing Australia (DHA) is not required to comply with the Commonwealth Procurement Framework, including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules CPRs. DHA is not a prescribed corporate Commonwealth entity for the purposes of the CPRs under Section 30 of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014. Given this, other aspects of the RFT and tender process, may not and are not required to be consistent with the CPRs. This RFT is issued through AusTender to leverage a convenient and efficient tendering platform and provide notification of the opportunity to suppliers.
