Der Landkreis Cuxhaven beabsichtigt, zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine stationäre Inobhutnahmestelle (ION) in Betrieb zu nehmen. Zielgruppe sind Kinder mit und ohne Behinderungen im Alter von 6 bis unter 12 Jahren, die gem. § 42 SGB VIII kurzfristig untergebracht werden müssen. Die Inobhutnahmestelle soll vorerst 7 Plätze, im weiteren Verlauf bis zu 10 Plätze vorhalten. Eine Aufnahme von Kindern muss zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit erfolgen können, um ihnen in ihren individuellen Krisen- und Notsituationen einen sicheren Ort zu bieten.
