Description
The objective of the procurement is to enter into a contract for the procurement of a GC-HRMS system that can perform quantitative analysis on ultra low levels of environmental toxins in complex matrixes. The Norwegian Institute of Marine Research (HI) is one of Europe's largest marine research institutes and our laboratories are the National Reference Laboratory (NRL) for several parameters within the marine area. We would now like to expand our instrument fleet with a GC-HRMS system that can perform quantitative analysis on ultra low levels of environmental toxins in complex matrixes. The system shall provide the sensitivity, selectivity, mass resolution and quantitative performance required for routine monitoring, research, method development and activities at a national reference laboratory. Primary areas of use include: · PCDD/F · Dioxin-like PCB (dl-PCB) · Other halogenated POPs and dioxin-like compounds The main matrixes will include: · Marine biota and seafood · Feeding ingredients and fish feed. · Biological/human tissue · Sediment and water With this variation in potentially relevant applications, user friendliness and minimal downtime are very important. In addition to the primary use for quantitative analyses of dioxins and dioxin-like compounds, the system shall support method development and broader GC-HRMS applications, including target orientated quantitative analysis and screening of volatile and semi-volatile organic contaminants. Further applications can include bronchosmated flame retardants, chlorinated paraffin, pesticides, PAH, plastic-assisted chemicals, PFAS related compounds that can be analysed with GC and any other future contaminants. As a part of the evaluation, tenderers shall analyse a set of samples delivered by HI in order to demonstrate the performance of the offered GC-HRMS system for PCDD/F, dioxin-like and non-dioxin-like PCBs, PBDE and HRMS screening. Tenderers shall submit a technical report describing the analytical method, instrument configuration, procedures for data acquisition and data processing, quality control as well as analytical results. See Annex 3a for further details. See annex 3 - requirement specifications for further details on the delivery.
