Derzeit wird eine Versuchsanlage für Mittelspannungs-Gleichstromübertragung aufgebaut. Ein für den Betrieb notwendiger, modular aufgebauter Modularer Multilevel-Umrichter befindet sich zum Erfüllungszeitpunkt bereits im Versuchsfeld und ist durch dessen Hersteller in Betrieb genommen. Durch das Hinzufügen weiterer Gleichrichtermodule ist der Umrichter im Rahmen dieser Ausschreibung zu erweitern.
