Description

The Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) invites interested suppliers to attend an online industry briefing on its upcoming Request for Tender (RFT) for Emergency Response Team (ERT) services. ANSTO seeks a suitably qualified and experienced supplier to deliver specialist emergency response services that support ANSTO’s all-hazards emergency management arrangements. The ERT plays a critical role in maintaining an integrated emergency preparedness and response capability across the LucasmHeights Service Area, comprising the ANSTO Lucas Heights campus, ANSTO’s tenants and associated buffer zone, including: Emergency medical response and patient care services; Fire response and bushfire preparedness activities Hazardous materials and dangerous goods response; Operational emergency response and incident support; Emergency preparedness activities. The successful supplier will be expected to demonstrate strong operational capability, workforce flexibility and sustainability, emergency response expertise, effective training and competency management arrangements, and a commitment to continuous improvement while supporting ANSTO’s core values of safety, security and sustainability. The industry briefing will provide prospective suppliers with an overview of the upcoming procurement process, including Registration of Interest (ROI), Confidentiality Deed and Conditions of Tender requirements, and the steps required to access the RFT documentation. The ROI is an information-access/confidentiality gateway rather than a competitive shortlisting stage. The briefing will cover: ANSTO and its operational environment; ANSTO’s emergency response environment and the role of the ERT; The ERT opportunity and high-level service requirements; The proposed procurement strategy and approach to market; The Registration of Interest (ROI) process; The requirement to execute ANSTO’s Confidentiality Deed and agree to the applicable Conditions of Tender documentation; The process for accessing the RFT documentation; Indicative procurement and evaluation timeframes; Probity requirements and communication protocols; and The anticipated evaluation and contract award process. Given the nature of ANSTO’s operations and the information that may be included in the tender documentation, access to the RFT documentation will be restricted. Suppliers must complete the ROI process and execute the required Confidentiality Deed and agree to the applicable Conditions of Tender documentation before access is provided. The industry briefing will be held online via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 4 November 2026 at 1:00 pm AEDT (Sydney time). Connection details will be provided to registered attendees before the event. Interested suppliers are encouraged to attend to understand the procurement approach, registration requirements, confidentiality obligations and steps required to participate in the upcoming tender process. The briefing will include a question-and-answer session. Questions requiring further consideration may be taken on notice, with responses provided to participants where appropriate
