Description
National Grid is establishing a Hardware Reseller Framework to provide a strategic, value-driven route to market for the procurement of IT hardware and associated services across its UK and US businesses. The framework will cover requirements including but not limited to network infrastructure, cyber security equipment, servers, device licensing, warranty and lifecycle management, technical support, and related value-added services. A limited number of reseller partners will be appointed to supply leading OEM technologies and deliver competitive commercial offerings, supply chain resilience, asset visibility, governance, sustainability benefits, and scalable support for National Grid's evolving technology estate. This procurement is being conducted as a multi-stage competitive process under PA23 and is expected to comprise: (1) pre-requisites for participation and minimum requirements assessment (Phase 1) , (2) detailed qualification, (3) shortlisting for the Invitation to Tender (RFP) stage, (4) tender evaluation, (5) negotiation and/or down-selection of bidders, and (6) contract award. National Grid reserves the right to refine evaluation criteria and methodologies during the procurement process in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023 and the principles set out within the procurement documentation. Whilst the procurement is being managed as a single exercise covering both UK and US requirements, any resulting arrangements will be awarded through separate UK and US framework agreements. The indicative value of the US opportunity is approximately an additional £100 million over the maximum eight-year term. This value is provided for transparency only, is separate from the UK framework value stated in this notice, and does not constitute a commitment or guarantee of expenditure.
