Die Leistungserbringung beinhaltet unter anderem Überwachungstätigkeiten und die Durchführung von Prüfungen und Inspektionen. Im Rahmen des Vertrages hat der Auftragnehmer die Aufgabe, sicherzustellen, dass der Generalunternehmer des jeweiligen Netzanschlussprojekts bei der Konstruktion und Fertigung sowie Montage alle verbindlichen vertraglichen Anforderungen (unter anderem technische Spezifikationen, Normen usw.) erfüllt. Die Standorte umfassen dabei die Baustellen (Werften) und mögliche Fertigungsstätten (z.B. Produktionsanlagen).
