Koneikkoja hankitaan pilotin lopullisesta kohdevalinnasta ja budjetista riippuen arviolta 10-15 kpl. Koneistoja käytetään liikekiinteistöjen varavoimalähteinä, ja ne huolehtivat kiinteistön normaalien sähkökuormien syöttämisestä sähkökatkosten aikana. Koneistojen käyttömäärä vaihtelee suunnitelluista normaalitilanteen koekäytöistä mahdollisiin pitkiin, useita vuorokausia kestäviin yhtäjaksoisiin kuormituksiin.
