Utöver instrumenten omfattar upphandlingen bland annat även förbrukning, leverans, installation, integration, utbildning, service, och support, i enlighet med kravställning och villkor i upphandlingsdokumenten. Upphandlingen utgör ett omtag från den tidigare avbrutna upphandlingen "Instrument för blodgruppsserologi, version 2, HSN2026/679", som avbröts på grund av avsaknad av giltiga anbud.
