Description
Dublin Bus is looking to establish a fabrication and maintenance framework with appropriate Contractors to carry out repair and maintenance at each of its facilities which consists of All locations throughout Dublin City and County. Dublin Bus wishes to establish a contract, which will provide ongoing basic fabrication and maintenance, repair and small new-works at all Dublin Bus locations There will be 2 lots under this tender. Lot 1 will account for most of the work; mechanical maintenance (fabrication) works of all facilities and small new installations (less than €15,000 ex VAT). This will be a direct-award contract to the successful contractor. Lot 1 contract value is estimated to be ca. €280k per annum excluding VAT. Lot 2 will be for larger new installation (greater than €15,000 ex VAT) additional works beyond the scope of Lot 1. It is intended to form a framework and run mini competitions for works in this category. No previous call-offs were made under this Lot however; it is included in the new framework to accommodate future requirements falling within this scope. These sums are aligned with ASC funding currently. In order to provide for potential future expanded requirements in this area, the overall framework value over the maximum duration will be advertised at a value of €1.3M to provide adequate headroom in the contract award mechanism should additional projects or major unforeseen repair work arise. This value will be conditional on budget availability and does not represent a commitment to spend. The initial contract will be for three years with an option to extend for a further 12 months
