Die Rostocker Straßenbahn AG (RSAG) plant im Zuge einer Sanierung der Innenanlagen des Gleichstromunterwerkes (BUW) Rügener Straße folgende Komponenten auszutauschen: - Mittelspannungsschaltanlage - DC-Schaltanlage - Eigenbedarfsschaltanlage (NSHV) - USV - Leittechnik - Teile der Außenanlagen - Niederspannungs- und Mittelspannungskabelanlagen innerhalb der Station. Die Komponenten befinden sich in einem gemeinsamen Schaltanlagenraum eines begehbaren Stationskörpers.
