Tinghuset har lokaler i tre etasjer og sokkel, og har et bruksareal på ca. 5000 kvm og består av vrimlehall, 11 rettssaler, undervisningsrom, møterom, kantine, kontoravdelinger m.m. Det er ca. 60 ansatte i tinghuset i Tromsø, og antall besøkende anslås å være ca. 50-60 i gjennomsnitt pr. dag.
