Ireland – Economic research services – Provision of Services for the delivery of a Commuter Survey for Carlow County Council
openCarlow County Council · 00250066U
Description
The aim of this project is to study the commuting patterns of residents in County Carlow and to quantify the economic and workforce potential represented by the county's commuter population. This will be achieved by analysing commuter profiles, understanding employment and skills trends, and measuring the desire of commuters to live and work within Carlow. The study will also identify the key locations across the county where skills, talent and commuter populations are currently concentrated. It is intended that Carlow County Council, in partnership with the successful provider, will stimulate interest in and raise awareness of the project during the online commuter survey phase of the study. The findings will inform the preparation of a comprehensive report that will support future economic development, enterprise growth, workforce planning and place-making initiatives across County Carlow. The study will further identify areas within the county where significant pools of skills and talent currently reside, as well as locations with high levels of outward commuting. This evidence base will help shape strategic actions aimed at attracting investment, supporting indigenous enterprise, fostering remote and blended working opportunities, and enhancing the attractiveness of County Carlow as a location to live, work and do business.
