Description
Am KIT Campus Nord verfügen der Großteil der Gebäude über jeweils eigene in die technische Gebäu-deausstattung integrierte, dezentrale Kälteversorgungsanlagen. Dementsprechend liegt einen sehr großen Bestand an Kälteanlagen vor und ein entsprechend hoher Instandhaltungsaufwand sowie struk-turelle Nachteile bei der Steigerung der Energieeffizienz und der Einbindung regenerativer Technolo-gien. Im Jahr 2016 wurde ein erster Bauabschnitt zum Aufbau eines zentralen Kaltwasser-Versorgungssystems abgeschlossen, bestehend aus einer KWKK-Anlage und 300 Meter Kaltwasser-trasse, an welche das Rechenzentrum des KIT CN angeschlossen ist. In weiteren Bauabschnitten soll nunmehr das bestehende zentrale Kaltwasser-Versorgungssystem weiter ausgebaut werden.
