Upphandlingen omfattar en SaaS-tjänst för beställning och leverans av vetenskaplig litteratur, bland annat artiklar, bokkapitel, rapporter, avhandlingar och supplement, samt support och statistikfunktioner. Med SaaS-tjänst avses programvara som tillhandahålls över internet, exempelvis genom webbläsare eller applikation, som en prenumerations- eller avgiftsbelagd tjänst. Avtalet löper om en avtalstid om tre år med möjlighet till förlängning för ytterligare två år.
