DSB vedligeholder og reparerer løbende tog og andet rullende materiel på (ved udbuddets offentliggørelse) syv lokationer i Danmark. Nærværende udbud vedrører 16 (op til) 8-årig rammeaftale for smøremidler i form af fedt, olie og kølervæske til vedligehold af DSB’s rullende materiel. Udbuddet omfatter i alt 16 smøremidler. Hvert af disse smøremidler anses for en særskilt delaftale og evalueres for sig og isoleret fra evalueringen vedrørende de øvrige smøremidler. For hvert smøremiddel tildeles en rammeaftale til én vindende tilbudsgiver. Hvis samme tilbudsgiver vinder to smøremidler, udarbejdes der én samlet aftale, som omfatter begge delaftaler.
