De inzet van ozon mag gecombineerd worden met de inzet van waterstofperoxide, biologische afbraak, adsorptie en overige technologieën die bijdragen aan de vergaande verwijdering van organische microverontreinigingen, (opgeloste) organische stof, zwevende stof en/of nutriënten voor zover dit niet leidt tot extra lozing van schadelijke stoffen (zoals rest peroxide).
