Description
Ty Eco MMC Ltd is seeking quotations for the supply of equipment to expand and improve its timber frame manufacturing line. The requirement is for an automated or semi-automated nailing bridge/multifunction bridge system suitable for fixing sheathing boards to timber frame panels. The equipment will primarily be used to sheath timber frame wall, floor and/or roof panels with OSB3 board in typical thicknesses of 9mm, 12mm and 18mm, generally using 50mm–60mm ring shank nails, although the ability to accommodate alternative fastening tools or fixings would be advantageous. The system must be suitable for timber frame panels ranging from approximately 89mm to 300mm in depth, with typical maximum panel dimensions of up to approximately 7.2m long x 3.2m wide. Suppliers should clearly state the maximum panel length, width, depth/thickness and weight their proposed equipment can accommodate. The required equipment package is expected to include, as appropriate: A nailing bridge or multifunction bridge capable of applying fasteners in straight, repeatable lines with consistent spacing; Suitable tool holder(s) and compatibility with commonly available pneumatic or electric nailing/stapling/screwing tools; Supporting working table(s), roller table(s), powered/manual handling sections and/or parking station(s) as required for the proposed system; Floor rails, control system, operator controls, electrical and compressed air connections/interfaces as required; Any necessary guarding, safety systems and emergency stop provisions required for compliant operation; Delivery, installation, commissioning and testing of the equipment at our manufacturing premises; Operator training for Ty Eco staff following installation and commissioning; Warranty, service support and availability of spare parts. The equipment must comply with all applicable UK machinery safety, electrical and workplace requirements, including CE/UKCA marking where applicable. Suppliers should confirm any site preparation requirements, including floor tolerances, foundations/fixings, electrical supply, compressed air requirements, internet/remote access requirements, lifting/unloading requirements and any other buyer responsibilities prior to installation. New, refurbished or reconditioned equipment will be considered, provided it meets the required performance, safety and operational standards and is supplied with appropriate warranty/support. Suppliers should provide a clear quotation setting out the specification of the proposed equipment, what is included/excluded, delivery timescale, installation and commissioning arrangements, training provision, warranty terms, service/maintenance support and payment terms.
